Urban Infrastructure in a Time of Crisis: Lessons From September 11th


Urban infrastructure services such as transportation, electric power, water, waste management, and communications were resilient in the manner and speed with which they rebounded after the September 11th 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center. This resiliency is traced before, during and after the attacks as a basis for planning for these services in the future.
