"The NYC organizations approached hire graduates, in most cases, from local engineering colleges or those within the northeastern region. Few of the different talents of these graduates could be attributed to the schools from which they were recruited. Personal traits may be more relevant. Most of the interviewees were aware of the existence of ABET requirements and of their underlying mission. Specific content -of the ABET requirements- was not well known."
