Nathan Gilbertson

Former ICIS Director of Outreach and Development, ICIS

Nathan Gilbertson was formerly the ICIS Director of Outreach and Development, and prior to that the ICIS Project Manager. After leaving ICIS in July 2002, he became Associate Development Engineer in the ITS Technology Transfer Program, University of California, Berkeley. He was an ICIS Research Assistant for two years while he completed the requirements of a master?s degree at the Wagner School. He also co-chaired the Urban Planning Student Association and worked on an NSF-funded information technology grant while at NYU. After graduation, he worked in public policy research and analysis on energy, transportation and technology issues at the New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce, Inc. Before starting at Wagner he spent a year learning Spanish while managing a restaurant and bar in Guatemala. While an undergraduate, he spent a year studying at the University of Zimbabwe as well as a semester in an Urban Studies program in Chicago. Education: B.A., Art History and Humanities, Valparaiso University; M.U.P., NYU's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School for Public Service, Spring 2000.
