February 18, 2003 The Salvadori Center's work reflects their ideology "that every child can and will learn math, science, social studies and language arts if challenged by problems that require imaginative solutions, that build on previous knowledge, and that are rigorous but relevant to everyday life." The Center's mission is "to help children everywhere by providing teachers with opportunities for professional development." Their aims are "inclusion and equity and excellence. In the spirit of our founder Mario Salvadori, we were first 'captured' by the school kids of New York City and now dedicate our energy, technical expertise and experience to carrying on and extending his programs to an ever wider audience."  http://www.salvadori.org/  |
